Project Overview
This project involved the execution of a rooftop garden spanning approximately 14,000 sq ft at Zee Shaan Building, Vile Parle East, developed by Trisul Developers.
Zenscape Living’s scope included the supply and installation of a wide variety of plants and planters while ensuring proper drainage and long-term plant health across the terrace landscape.
Special attention was given to the planter bed preparation using drain cells and geotextile fabric to create an efficient drainage system and protect the waterproofing layer beneath the landscape.
The Challenge
- Transportation of nearly 300 pots with plants weighing approximately 35–40 kg each from the ground floor to the rooftop was one of the biggest challenges during execution.
- The project demanded extensive manual labour and coordination due to the heavy weight and volume of materials
- Harsh summer heat further added to the challenge, making plant maintenance and survival during the initial installation phase extremely critical.
Our Solution
- Careful planning and phased transportation helped streamline the movement of heavy planters and materials to the rooftop level.
- Extra precautions were taken to protect the plants from heat stress during transportation and installation.
- Intensive aftercare, proper watering schedules, and plant treatment medicines were implemented during the first week to help the plants recover and adapt to the environment.
- With continuous monitoring and maintenance, all plants are now healthy and flourishing, ready to thrive through the upcoming monsoon season.
